దేశంలో ప్రధాన్‌ మంత్రి జన్‌ ధన్‌ యోజన (పీఎంజేడీవై) ఖాతాలు 2025 జులై 31 నాటికి 56.03 కోట్ల వరకు ఉండగా.. ఇందులో 13.04 కోట్ల ఖాతాలు (23 శాతం) నిరుపయోగంలో ఉన్నాయని కేంద్ర ఆర్థిక శాఖ సహాయ మంత్రి పంకజ్‌ చౌధ్రీ తెలిపారు. అత్యధికంగా ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్‌లో 2.75 కోట్ల జన్‌ధన్‌ ఖాతాలు నిరుపయోగంలో ఉండగా.. ఆ తర్వాతి స్థానాల్లో బిహార్‌ (1.39 కోట్లు), మధ్యప్రదేశ్‌ (1.07 కోట్లు) ఉన్నాయి. రెండేళ్లుగా ఎటువంటి లావాదేవీలు నిర్వహించకుంటే ఆ ఖాతాలను నిరుపయోగ ఖాతాగా పరిగణించాలని ఆర్‌బీఐ మార్గదర్శకాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.

నిజామాబాద్‌ జిల్లా జక్రాన్‌పల్లి తండాకు చెందిన రమేశ్‌ కార్తిక్‌నాయక్‌ రాసిన కవిత పాఠమైంది. ఆయన రచించిన ‘చక్‌మక్‌’ (చెకుముకి రాయి) ఆంగ్ల కవితా సంపుటిలోని ‘ది రోస్‌ ల్యాండ్‌’ కవితను సీబీఎస్‌ఈ బోర్డు ఈ ఏడాది (2025) 8వ తరగతి ఆంగ్ల సిలబస్‌లో ఆరో పాఠంగా చేరుస్తూ.. ఆగస్టు 18న సమాచారం అందజేసింది. ‘ది రోజ్‌ ల్యాండ్‌’ కవిత.. బంజారా తెగకు చెందిన తల్లీకొడుకుల జీవన ప్రయాణ ఇతివృత్తంతో సాగుతుంది. తల్లి చెప్పినా వినకుండా ఓరోజు వారు పనిచేసే తోటకు బాలుడు బయల్దేరి వెళ్తాడు. గులాబీ తోట నుంచి సాగే అతడి ప్రయాణం, ప్రకృతితో ముడిపడిన గత, వర్తమాన అనుభూతుల్ని పంచుతూ సాగుతుంది. బాల్యంలో చుట్టుముట్టే భయాలు, ఊహా లోకపు మాయలు దాటుకుని వెళ్తుంటుంది. జింకల పాదముద్రలు, నెమలి ఈకలు, మామిడి చెట్టు ఫలాలు, దేవతగా పూజలందుకునే రాయి వంటి ఘట్టాలు బంజారా తెగ సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలను ప్రతిబింబిస్తాయి. నేలతల్లితో వారికున్న లోతైన బంధాల్ని విడమర్చి చెబుతూ కవిత ముగుస్తుంది.
ద్వైపాక్షిక రక్షణ సహకారం బలోపేతంలో భాగంగా నేపాల్‌ ప్రధాన సైన్యాధికారి జనరల్‌ ఆశోక్‌ రాజ్‌ సిగ్డెల్‌కు సైనిక అవసరాలకు ఉపయోగపడే జంతువులు, వైద్య పరికరాలు, వాహనాలను భారత విదేశీ వ్యవహారాల కార్యదర్శి విక్రం మిస్రీ 2025, ఆగస్టు 18న అందజేశారు. రెండు రోజుల అధికార పర్యటనలో భాగంగా మిస్రీ ఆగస్టు 17న నేపాల్‌ వెళ్లారు.

ఉద్యోగాల కల్పనకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘ప్రధానమంత్రి వికసిత్‌ భారత్ ఉపాధి యోజన’ పేరుతో కొత్త పథకాన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టడంతోపాటు అనుబంధ పోర్టల్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేసంది. సంస్థల యజమానులు, తొలిసారి ఉద్యోగంలో చేరేవారు ఈ పథకం ద్వారా లబ్ధి పొందవచ్చని కేంద్ర కార్మిక, ఉపాధి శాఖ మంత్రి మన్‌సుఖ్‌ మాండవీయ తెలిపారు. ఈ ఉపాధి ఆధారిత ప్రోత్సాహక పథకానికి కేంద్ర క్యాబినెట్‌ జులై 1న ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. పథకం ద్వారా రూ.లక్ష కోట్లతో రెండేళ్ల కాలం (2025 ఆగస్టు 1 - 2027 జులై 31)లో 3.5 కోట్లకుపైగా ఉద్యోగాలు కల్పించడాన్ని లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నారు.

♦ Parliament passed the Indian Ports Bill 2025 with Rajya Sabha approving the Bill on 18 August 2025. ♦ It aims to establish and empower State Maritime Boards for effective management of ports other than major ports, establish the Maritime State Development Council for fostering structured growth and development of the port sector and will provide for the management of pollution, disaster, emergencies, security, safety, navigation, and data at ports. ♦ The legislation will ensure compliance with India’s obligations under international instruments to which it is a party and take measures for the conservation of ports. ♦ It will also provide for adjudicatory mechanisms for the redressal of port-related disputes and address matters connected therewith.
♦ The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) portal under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana has launched on 18 Auguat 2025. ♦ The scheme will provide incentive of up to 15 thousand rupees in two instalments to newly employed youth and upto three thousand rupees per month per new employee to employers for creation of new job opportunities. ♦ Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced this scheme during his Independence Day address from the Red Fort this year (2025). ♦ The scheme under the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme aims to incentivize creation of more than 3.5 Crore jobs in the country over a period of two years. ♦ It aims to support employment generation, enhance employability and social security, across all sectors, with special focus on the manufacturing sector from the first of August this year. ♦ Employers can visit www.pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in or www.pmvbry.labour.gov.in and complete one-time registration process.
