అత్యధిక ఎగుమతులు సాధించిన రాష్ట్రాల జాబితా

2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరానికి అత్యధిక ఎగుమతులు సాధించిన రాష్ట్రాల జాబితాను కేంద్రం ఇటీవల విడుదల చేసింది. ఇందులో  ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ 6వ స్థానంలో, తెలంగాణ 7వ స్థానంలో నిలిచాయి. ఎన్నో ఏళ్లుగా తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి అధికంగా ఎగుమతి అవుతున్న వస్తువుల జాబితాలో వ్యవసాయ ఉత్పత్తులు ముందుంటూ వచ్చాయి. కానీ ఇప్పుడు ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ ఉత్పత్తులు, ఔషధాలు, రసాయనాలు, ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్‌ వంటి ‘మ్యాన్‌ఫ్యాక్చర్డ్‌ గూడ్స్‌’ ఎగుమతులు బాగా పెరుగుతున్నాయి. ముఖ్యంగా ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ ఉత్పత్తుల విభాగంలో తెలంగాణ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ రాష్ట్రాలు సాధిస్తున్న ప్రగతి ఎంతో ఆకర్షణీయంగా ఉంది.

‘చెట్ల పనితీరుపై స్థానిక వాతావరణ పరిస్థితుల ప్రభావం’

భూమిపై పెరుగుతున్న ఉష్ణ తాపాన్ని నిలువరించడానికి ఉత్తర, దక్షిణ ధ్రువాల వైపు కంటే భూ మధ్య రేఖ పరిధిలోని ఉష్ణమండల ప్రాంతాల్లో చెట్లను నాటడం ఎక్కువ ఫలితాలను ఇస్తుందని ఓ అధ్యయనం తేల్చింది. ‘చెట్ల పనితీరుపై స్థానిక వాతావరణ పరిస్థితుల ప్రభావం’ అనే అంశంపై అమెరికాలోని కాలిఫోర్నియా రివర్‌సైడ్‌ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం అధ్యయనం నిర్వహించింది. ఆ వివరాల ప్రకారం.. చెట్లను ఉత్తర, దక్షిణ ధ్రువ ప్రాంతాల్లో నాటితే అవి అక్కడ స్వల్ప ఉష్ణోగ్రత పెరిగేందుకు కారణమవుతున్నాయని.. తేమ ఎక్కువుండే భూమధ్య రేఖ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఫలితాలు ఇందుకు భిన్నంగా ఉన్నాయని తేలింది.

మోదీతో వాంగ్‌ యీ భేటీ

ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీతో 2025, ఆగస్టు 19న చైనా విదేశాంగ మంత్రి వాంగ్‌ యీ భేటీ అయ్యారు. సరిహద్దులో శాంతిని ఉమ్మడిగా కాపాడుకోవడం, వాణిజ్యానికి సరిహద్దుల్ని మళ్లీ తెరవడం, వివిధ రకాల వీసాలకు వెసులుబాటు కల్పించడం, పెట్టుబడుల వెల్లువను ప్రోత్సహించడం, నేరుగా విమాన సర్వీసులను సాధ్యమైనంత త్వరగా పునరుద్ధరించడం, నదీ జలాల పంపకంలో సహకరించుకోవడంపై ఉభయపక్షాలు సుముఖత వ్యక్తం చేశాయి. భారత్‌-చైనా సంబంధాలు స్థిరంగా పురోగతి సాధిస్తున్నాయని ఈ సమావేశానంతరం మోదీ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

తేజస్‌ మార్క్‌-1ఏ

రూ.62వేల కోట్లతో 97 తేజస్‌ మార్క్‌-1ఏ యుద్ధవిమానాల కొనుగోలుకు కేంద్రం ఆమోదం తెలిపినట్లు రక్షణ శాఖ 2025, ఆగస్టు 19న తెలిపింది. వీటిని హిందుస్థాన్‌ ఏరోనాటిక్స్‌ లిమిటెడ్‌ (హెచ్‌ఏఎల్‌) ఉత్పత్తి చేయనుంది. ఈ స్వదేశీ యుద్ధవిమానానికి దక్కిన రెండో ఆర్డర్‌ ఇది.  రూ.48వేల కోట్లతో 83 యుద్ధవిమానాల సమీకరణకు కేంద్రం కొన్నేళ్ల కిందట ఆమోదం తెలిపింది.

క్రీడా బిల్లుకు రాష్ట్రపతి ఆమోదం

రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపది ముర్ము 2025, ఆగస్టు 19న జాతీయ క్రీడా బిల్లుకు ఆమోద ముద్ర వేశారు. దీంతో ఇది చట్టంగా మారింది. ఇటీవల ఉభయ సభల్లో ప్రవేశపెట్టిన బిల్లును రెండు ప్రధాన సవరణలతో పార్లమెంటు ఆమోదించింది. సమాచార హక్కు (ఆర్‌టీఐ) పరిధిని తగ్గించడం అందులో ముఖ్యమైనది. ప్రభుత్వ నిధులు, సహకారంపై ఆధారపడే క్రీడా సంస్థలను మాత్రమే ఆర్‌టీఐ పరిధిలో ఉంచారు. ఫలితంగా ఆర్‌టీఐ పరిధిలోకి రాకుండా బీసీసీఐకి వెసులుబాటు లభించింది.

Manika Vishwakarma

♦ Manika Vishwakarma from Rajasthan was crowned Miss Universe India 2025 in Jaipur on 19 August 2025. ♦ She received the title from the former Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha.  ♦ Manika Vishwakarma was chosen Miss Universe India out of 48 contestants. ♦ The first runner-up was Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Mehak Dhingra from Haryana as the second runner-up, and Amishi Kaushik was the third runner-up.  ♦ With her new crown, Manika will represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in Thailand this November. ♦ India’s track record at Miss Universe has been remarkable, with three winners etching their names in history. Sushmita Sen became the first Indian Miss Universe in 1994, followed by Lara Dutta in 2000. ♦ Two decades later, Harnaaz Sandhu brought the crown home again in 2021.

Assam Rifles

♦ Assam Rifles, in collaboration with IIIT Manipur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Mantripukhri on 19 August 2025 to promote drone technology for defence and security.  ♦ As part of the initiative, an Advanced Drone Training and Refresher Course was also launched for Assam Rifles personnel, covering drone flight operations, maintenance, and DGCA-certified training.  ♦ The programme aims to strengthen surveillance, reconnaissance, and logistics support capabilities.

Infrastructure Investment Trusts

♦ The total Assets Under Management (AUM) of Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) in India have reached $73 billion in FY 2025, driven by large-scale infrastructure investments, According to the Knight Frank report. ♦ This figure is projected to grow 3.5 times to $257.9 billion by 2030. ♦ India has emerged as one of the fastest-growing destinations for Infrastructure Investment Trusts and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in Asia.  ♦ Central government spending on core infrastructure surged from $12 bn in FY 2015 to $75 bn in FY 2025, a 6.2-fold rise, growing from 0.6 percent of the GDP to 2.0 percent over the same period, reflecting a strong policy focus on infrastructure-led growth, the report stated. ♦ Infrastructure development will be crucial to achieving India’s $7 trillion economy target, which Knight Frank estimates will require $2.2 trillion in investment. ♦ The report said, globally, there are over 1,000 publicly listed REITs and InvITs, also termed master business trusts, boasting a combined market capitalisation of approximately $3 trillion. ♦ In India, there are currently five REITs and 17 InvITs listed on the stock exchange, with a combined market capitalisation of $33.2 billion.

Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill

♦ Parliament passed the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2025 with Rajya Sabha approved the Bill on 19 August 2025. ♦ The bill aimed at promoting sustainable mining, zero-waste practices, and advancing the objectives of the National Critical Mineral Mission.  ♦ Under the National Critical Mineral Mission, the government has identified 24 critical minerals and is promoting domestic production through onshore and offshore exploration. ♦ The first auction of offshore mineral blocks, including polymetallic nodules in the Andaman Sea, was launched in November 2024. ♦ India is also exploring critical minerals abroad, signing agreements with countries like Argentina and Zambia to facilitate resource development.
