♦ Former CRPF and ITBP Director General Anish Dayal Singh was appointed the new Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) on 24 August 2025. ♦ He is a 1988-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Manipur cadre, retired from service in December 2024. ♦ He brings extensive experience to the role, having served for nearly 30 years in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) before heading the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and most recently, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). ♦ Former RAW chief Rajinder Khanna is the Additional NSA, while retired IPS officer T.V. Air Drop Test (IADT-01)

♦ ISRO has successfully accomplished first Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-01) for end to end demonstration of parachute-based deceleration system for Gaganyaan missions. ♦ It was a critical exercise to validate the parachute system that will bring back astronauts safely under the mission, from its spaceport in. ♦ This test is a joint effort of ISRO, Indian Air Force, DRDO, Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. ♦ The Test was designed to evaluate full suite of parachutes that will slow down and stabilise the crew module during re-entry and splashdown of the actual human spaceflight mission. ♦ This included two drogue parachutes which are conical or funnel-shaped devices with open ends, for initial slowing down, followed by pilot chutes and three main parachutes to ensure safe descent.

పీఎం జన్‌ధన్‌ యోజన పథకం

పీఎం జన్‌ధన్‌ యోజన పథకం ప్రారంభించి 2025, ఆగస్టు 28 నాటికి 11 ఏళ్లు పూర్తయ్యింది. ఈ కాలంలో ఆ ఖాతాల్లో డిపాజిట్లు దాదాపు 16 రెట్లు పెరిగాయి. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ పథకాల ప్రయోజనాలను లబ్ధిదారులకు నేరుగా అందించడం కోసం 2014 ఆగస్టు 28న ప్రవేశపెట్టిన ఈ పథకం ఇప్పుడు రుణ సౌకర్యం, సామాజిక భద్రత, పొదుపు, పెట్టుబడులకు ఉపయోగపడుతున్నట్లు ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్‌ తెలిపారు. 11 ఏళ్లలో జన్‌ధన్‌ ఖాతాలు 281%, అందులో డిపాజిట్లు 1,608% పెరిగాయి. ఒక్కో ఖాతాలో సగటు డిపాజిట్‌ మొత్తం కూడా 337% పెరిగింది. మొత్తం ఖాతాల్లో 67% గ్రామీణ, పట్టణ శివారు ప్రాంతాలకు చెందినవి కాగా, 56% మహిళలవి ఉన్నాయి.
