భారత 50వ ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తిగా రెండేళ్లపాటు సేవలందించిన జస్టిస్‌ డి.వై.చంద్రచూడ్‌ పదవీకాలం 2024, నవంబరు 10న ముగిసింది. ఎన్నో పరివర్తనాత్మక తీర్పులు, గణనీయమైన సంస్కరణలతో భారత న్యాయవ్యవస్థలో ఆయన తనదైన ముద్ర వేశారు. అయోధ్య భూవివాద పరిష్కారం, ఆర్టికల్‌ 370 రద్దు, సమ్మతితో కూడిన స్వలింగ సంపర్కం నేరం కాదని చెప్పటం లాంటి పలు తీర్పులు ఆయన హయాంలో మైలురాళ్లుగా నిలిచాయి. సుప్రీంకోర్టు జడ్జిగా ఎనిమిదేళ్లలో 38 రాజ్యాంగ ధర్మాసనాల్లో భాగస్వామి కావడం మరో రికార్డు. అత్యున్నత న్యాయస్థానంలో 500కు పైగా తీర్పులు ఆయన ఇవ్వగా, అందులో కొన్ని సమాజంపై విస్తృతమైన ప్రభావం చూపించాయి.
