పర్యావరణశాఖ మంత్రి భూపేందర్‌ యాదవ్‌

దేశవ్యాప్తంగా గత పదేళ్లలో (2014-24) 1,734 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్ల అటవీ భూమిని అభివృద్ధి ప్రాజెక్టుల కోసం మళ్లించామని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం వెల్లడించింది. ఇది దిల్లీ విస్తీర్ణం కంటే ఎక్కువని పేర్కొంది. అటవీయేతర కార్యకలాపాల కోసం 1.73 లక్షల హెక్టార్ల అటవీ భూమిని అనుమతించామని 2025, మార్చి 24న కేంద్ర పర్యావరణశాఖ మంత్రి భూపేందర్‌ యాదవ్‌ లోక్‌సభలో తెలిపారు. ఇందులో పలు మౌలిక వసతుల ప్రాజెక్టులున్నాయని వివరించారు. మధ్యప్రదేశ్‌లో అత్యధికంగా 385.52 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్ల అటవీ భూములను మళ్లించామని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. రెండో స్థానంలో ఒడిశా ఉందని, అక్కడ 244 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్ల అటవీ భూములను మళ్లించామని వెల్లడించారు. మూడో స్థానంలో ఉన్న తెలంగాణలో 114.22 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్లను అభివృద్ధి ప్రాజెక్టులకు ఇచ్చామని పేర్కొన్నారు.
