Bilateral Tri-Service India-US Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR)
♦ The fourth edition of Exercise Tiger Triumph, the bilateral Tri-Service India-US Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise, began at Eastern Naval Command (ENC) base, Visakhapatnam, on 1 April 2025. ♦ This will continue till April 13. ♦ It consists of two phases. The harbour phase will continue here till April 7, while sea phase will be held from April 8 to 13. ♦ This exercise is aimed at developing interoperability and formulation of Standard Operating Procedures for conducting Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations between the two countries. ♦ This exercise will not only strengthen interoperability but also will help in a coordinated response in disaster relief and rescue. ♦ exercise will witness the participation of Indian Naval ships Jalaswa, Gharial, and Mumbai along with Integral Helicopters. ♦ The C-130, P-8I aircraft, MI-17 Helicopters of the Indian Air Force and the 91 Infantry Brigade and 12 Mech Infantry Battalion of the Indian Army will also take part in this exercise. ♦ The US side will be represented by US Naval ships Comstock and Ralph Johnson.
