ఐకార్‌ డీజీగా మంగీలాల్‌ జాట్‌

భారత వ్యవసాయ పరిశోధన మండలి (ఐకార్‌) డైరెక్టర్‌ జనరల్‌గా, వ్యవసాయ పరిశోధన, విద్య విభాగం కార్యదర్శిగా డాక్టర్‌ మంగీలాల్‌ జాట్‌ నియమితులయ్యారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆయన హైదరాబాద్‌లోని ఇక్రిశాట్‌ గ్లోబల్‌ రిసెర్చ్‌ ప్రోగ్రాం డైరెక్టర్‌గా ఉన్నారు. పదోన్నతిపై ఆయన్ను ఐకార్‌ డీజీగా నియమిస్తూ కేంద్ర నియామక వ్యవహారాల క్యాబినెట్‌ కమిటీ నిర్ణయం తీసుకొంది. ఆయన బాధ్యతలు తీసుకున్న నాటి నుంచి మూడేళ్లపాటు ఈ పదవిలో కొనసాగుతారు.

2025-26లో వృద్ధి రేటు 6.4%

అమెరికా క్రెడిట్‌ రేటింగ్‌ ఏజెన్సీ అయిన ఫిచ్‌ రేటింగ్స్, ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరానికి (2025-26) భారత జీడీపీ వృద్ధి అంచనాలను 10 బేసిస్‌ పాయింట్లు తగ్గించి 6.4 శాతానికి పరిమితం చేసింది. వచ్చే ఆర్థిక సంవత్సర (2026-24) అంచనాను 6.3% వద్ద స్థిరంగా ఉంచింది. అంతర్జాతీయ ఆర్థిక అనిశ్చితుల నేపథ్యంలో 2024-25, 2025-26 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరాల వృద్ధిరేటు అంచనాలను 10 బేసిస్‌ పాయింట్ల మేర తగ్గించి, 6.2%, 6.4 శాతంగా పేర్కొంది. అంతర్జాతీయ ఆర్థిక అవుట్‌లుక్‌ (జీఈఓ)కు ప్రత్యేక అప్‌డేట్‌ను 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 17న అందించింది. ప్రపంచ వృద్ధి రేటు కూడా 2025లో 0.4% తగ్గొచ్చని తెలిపింది.

ప్రపంచ టాప్‌-100 ఆసుపత్రులు

దిల్లీలోని అఖిల భారత వైద్య విజ్ఞాన సంస్థ (ఎయిమ్స్‌).. ప్రపంచంలోని టాప్‌-100 ఆసుపత్రుల్లో ఒకటిగా నిలిచింది. 2024కు సంబంధించి అత్యుత్తమ ఆసుపత్రుల పేరుతో న్యూస్‌వీక్, స్టాటిస్టా రూపొందించిన జాబితాలో అది 97వ స్థానాన్ని దక్కించుకుంది. ఆరోగ్య సేవలు, అత్యాధునిక వైద్య పరిశోధనలు, అందుబాటు ధరల్లో చికిత్స వంటి అంశాల ఆధారంగా అత్యుత్తమ ఆసుపత్రులను ఎంపిక చేశారు.  ఈ జాబితాలో- మేదాంత (గురుగ్రామ్‌) 146వ ర్యాంకు, చండీగఢ్‌లోని ది పోస్ట్‌గ్రాడ్యుయేట్‌ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్‌ ఆఫ్‌ మెడికల్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ అండ్‌ రిసెర్చ్‌ 228వ ర్యాంకు పొందాయి.

అంతర్జాతీయ బిగ్‌ క్యాట్‌ అలయన్స్‌ కార్యాలయం

ఏడు రకాలైన వన్యమృగాల రక్షణ కోసం ప్రధాని మోదీ చొరవతో ఏర్పాటైన అంతర్జాతీయ బిగ్‌ క్యాట్‌ అలయన్స్‌ (ఐబీసీఏ) ప్రధాన కార్యాలయం, సచివాలయం మన దేశంలోనే కొలువుదీరనున్నాయి. వీటి ఏర్పాటు ఒప్పందంపై 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 17న దిల్లీలో విదేశాంగశాఖ కార్యదర్శి పి.కుమరన్, ఐబీసీఏ డైరెక్టర్‌ జనరల్‌ ఎస్పీ యాదవ్‌ సంతకాలు చేశారు. 2023 ఏప్రిల్‌ 9న ‘ప్రాజెక్టు టైగర్‌’ 50వ వార్షికోత్సవం సందర్భంగా ప్రధాని మోదీ ఐబీసీఏను ప్రారంభించారు. పులులు, సింహాలు, చిరుతలు, మంచు చిరుతలు, చీతాలు, జాగ్వార్లు, ప్యూమాలను ఐబీసీఏ సంరక్షిస్తుందని విదేశాంగశాఖ తెలిపింది.

సౌర వ్యవస్థ ఆవలా జీవం

భూమి నుంచి 120 కాంతిసంవత్సరాల దూరంలో ఉన్న ‘కె2-18బి’ అనే గ్రహంపై జీవం ఉందని బ్రిటన్‌లోని కేంబ్రిడ్జి విశ్వవిద్యాలయం పరిశోధకులు తాజాగా గుర్తించారు. సముద్ర జలాల్లోని కొన్ని సూక్ష్మజీవులు ఉత్పత్తి చేసే అణువుల జాడను దీనిపై కనుగొన్నట్లు వారు తెలిపారు. ఈ గ్రహం పుడమి కంటే 8.5 రెట్లు పెద్దది. ‘కె2-18’ అనే నక్షత్రం చుట్టూ పరిభ్రమిస్తుంటుంది. ఈ గ్రహంపై మీథేన్, కార్బన్‌ డయాక్సైడ్‌ వంటి కర్బణ అణువులను పరిశోధకులు గతంలోనే గుర్తించారు. ‘కె2-18బి’కి సంబంధించి నాసాకు చెందిన జేమ్స్‌ వెబ్‌ స్పేస్‌ టెలిస్కోబ్‌ అందించిన డేటాను కేంబ్రిడ్జి పరిశోధకులు తాజాగా విశ్లేషించారు.

ప్రపంచ బిలియర్డ్స్‌ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌

భారత స్టార్‌ క్యూయిస్ట్‌ సౌరవ్‌ కొఠారి ప్రపంచ బిలియర్డ్స్‌ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌ (టైమ్డ్‌ ఫార్మాట్‌)ను సొంతం చేసుకున్నాడు. 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 17న కార్లో, ఐర్లాంగ్‌లో జరిగిన ఫైనల్లో కొఠారి 725-480 పాయింట్లతో పంకజ్‌పై విజయం సాధించాడు. సౌరవ్‌ తండ్రి మనోజ్‌ కొఠారి కూడా టైమ్డ్‌ ఫార్మాట్‌లో 1990లో ప్రపంచ ఛాంపియన్‌గా నిలిచాడు. ఈ టోర్నీలో తొలి మూడు స్థానాల్లో భారత ఆటగాళ్లే నిలిచారు. ధ్రువ్‌ సిత్వాల మూడో స్థానం దక్కించుకున్నాడు.
