The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notification for the Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) - 2025 for admissions to the Integrated Program in Management (IPM) offered jointly by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu for the academic year 2025 - 2026.  Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) - 2025. Details: Master of Business Administration (MBA) Ph.D Program in Management Integrated Program in Management (IPM) Duration: Five years. Eligibility: Must have passed Intermediate/ 12th class/ 10+2 (Arts/Commerce/Science Group) with at least 60% marks. Candidates who have written the exams in the years 2023, 2024 or the final year of 2025 can apply. Selection Process: Basis of the entrance exam. Application Fee: General/ OBC (NCL) Rs. 2000; Rs.1000 for General (EWS)/ SC/ ST/ Divyang/ Transgender candidates. Last date for online registration and application: 10-03-2025. India’s net direct tax collection

♦ India’s net direct tax collection, comprising corporate tax and personal income tax, increased by 14.69% to cross Rs.17.78 lakh crore as of February 10 in the current financial year (2024-25), compared to Rs.15.51 lakh crore in the same period of 2023-24, according to data released by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on 11 February 2025.  ♦ The gross direct tax revenue surged by 19.06% to exceed Rs.21.88 lakh crore, up from Rs.18.38 lakh crore in the corresponding period of the previous year (2023-24). ♦ Revenue from net non-corporate taxes, primarily personal income tax, grew by 21% year-on-year to Rs.9.48 lakh crore during this period. ♦ Meanwhile, net corporate tax collection rose by over 6% to more than Rs.7.78 lakh crore between April 1, 2024, and February 10, 2025.

Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI)

♦ India ranked 96 out of 180 countries in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2024 as its overall score dropped a point to 38. Transparency International released this index on 11 February 2025. ♦ The index ranks countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and business people, using a scale of zero to 100, where "zero" is highly corrupt and "100" is very clean. ♦ In 2024, India's overall score was 38 while it was 39 in 2023 and 40 in 2022. India's rank in 2023 was 93. ♦ Among India's neighbours, Pakistan (135) and Sri Lanka (121) grappled with their respective low rankings, while Bangladesh's ranking stood further down at 149. China ranked 76. ♦ Denmark topped the list of being the least-corrupt nation, followed by Finland and Singapore.

NITI Aayog

♦ NITI Aayog launched a policy report titled ‘Expanding Quality Higher Education through States and State Public Universities’. ♦ This is first-of-its-kind document provides a comprehensive analysis of key indicators such as quality, funding, governance, and employability trends in state public universities (SPUs) over the past decade. ♦ The report was launched by Suman Bery, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, alongside CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam and other senior officials. ♦ It includes over 80 policy recommendations across four key areas: Quality, Funding & Financing, Governance, and Employability, along with a detailed implementation roadmap that spans short-term, medium-term, and long-term actions. ♦ The report draws on extensive stakeholder consultations, involving higher education officials from over 20 states and union territories, vice-chancellors from 50 SPUs, and leaders from state higher education councils. ♦ With 495 SPUs and more than 46,000 affiliated institutions serving 81% of total student enrollment, these universities are fundamental to India’s higher education landscape.

International Olympic Committee (IOC)

♦ The first-ever Olympic Esports Games will take place in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed this on 11 February 2025. ♦ The creation of the Olympic Esports Games was formalised at the 142nd IOC Session in July 2023. ♦ The IOC is partnering with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) to deliver the event, while the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) will serve as the Founding Partner. ♦ The partnership aims to bridge the gap between traditional and digital sports, enhance competitive integrity and align global esports standards.

బిలియన్‌ డాలర్ల క్లబ్‌లోకి మాజా

మామిడి పండు ఆధారిత దేశీయ పానీయం మాజా 2024లో బిలియన్‌ డాలర్ల (సుమారు రూ.8,700 కోట్ల) బ్రాండ్‌గా మారింది. ఇది కోక-కోలా యాజమాన్యంలో ఉంది. 2021లో కోక-కోలా దేశీయ బ్రాండ్‌ థమ్సప్‌ కూడా ఈ ఘనత సాధించింది.  1993లో కోక-కోలా కంపెనీ మాజా, థమ్సప్‌లను రమేశ్‌ చౌహాన్‌ నుంచి కొనుగోలు చేసింది. వీటితో పాటు చౌహాన్‌ సోదరుల నుంచి గోల్డ్‌ స్పాట్, లిమ్కా తదితర మొత్తం పానీయాల పోర్ట్‌ఫోలియోను కొనుగోలు చేసి భారతీయ విపణిలోకి కోక కోలా అడుగుపెట్టింది.

వాహనం నుంచి ప్రయోగించే వీలున్న కౌంటర్‌-డ్రోన్‌ సిస్టమ్‌ను, డీఆర్‌డీఓ భాగస్వామ్యంతో అదానీ డిఫెన్స్‌ అండ్‌ ఏరోస్పేస్‌ 2025, ఫిబ్రవరి 11న ఏరో ఇండియాలో ఆవిష్కరించింది. ఈ ప్లాట్‌ఫామ్‌ను రక్షణ నిపుణులు, పరిశ్రమ భాగస్వాముల సమక్షంలో డీఆర్‌డీఓ డైరెక్టర్‌ జనరల్‌ (ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్‌ అండ్‌ కమ్యూనికేషన్‌ సిస్టమ్‌) డాక్టర్‌ బీకే దాస్‌ విడుదల చేశారు. ఆకాశం నుంచి ఏర్పడే ముప్పు నుంచి రక్షణ కోసం ఈ అత్యాధునిక వ్యవస్థ ఉపయోగపడుతుందని కంపెనీ తెలిపింది.
