కేరళలో అరుదైన పరాన్నజీవి మొక్క

అరుదుగా పుష్పించే పరాన్నజీవి మొక్కను 175 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత కేరళలో పరిశోధకులు మళ్లీ కనుక్కున్నారు. ‘క్యాంప్‌బెలియా ఆరంటియాకా’గా ఈ మొక్కను గుర్తించారు. వయనాడ్‌ జిల్లాలోని థొల్లాయిరాం ప్రాంతంలో ఇది కనిపించింది. ఈ జాతి మొక్కను మొదట 1849కి ముందు తమిళనాడులోని నడువట్టం వద్ద స్కాటిష్‌ వృక్ష శాస్త్రవేత్త రాబర్ట్‌ విట్‌ చూశారు. అయితే, దీనికి సంబంధించిన విశ్వసనీయమైన రికార్డులేవీ లేవు. కేరళలోని కాల్‌పెట్టకు చెందిన ఎం.ఎస్‌.స్వామినాథన్‌ రీసెర్చ్‌ ఫౌండేషన్‌ పరిశోధకులు సలీం పిచాన్‌తోపాటు అలప్పుజలోని సనాతన ధర్మ కళాశాల నుంచి వచ్చిన డాక్టర్‌ జోస్‌ మాథ్యూ, అరుణ్‌రాజ్, డాక్టర్‌ వి.ఎన్‌.సంజయ్, శ్రీలంక యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన బి.గోపల్లవ బృందం ‘క్యాంప్‌బెలియా ఆరంటియాకా’ను కనుగొంది.

నీతీశ్‌ కుమార్‌

బిహార్‌ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఇటీవల పదోసారి ప్రమాణం చేసిన నీతీశ్‌కుమార్‌కు 2025, డిసెంబరు 5న లండన్‌కు చెందిన ‘వరల్డ్‌ బుక్‌ ఆఫ్‌ రికార్డ్స’ గుర్తింపు లభించింది. 2000లో మొదటిసారిగా సీఎం పదవీ బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టిన నీతీశ్‌.. మెజారిటీ నిరూపించుకోలేక వారం రోజుల వ్యవధిలోనే వైదొలగాల్సి వచ్చింది. ఆ తర్వాత 2005లో మళ్లీ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ప్రమాణం చేసి, మధ్యలో స్వల్పకాలం (2014) మినహా ఇప్పటిదాకా ఆ పదవిలో కొనసాగుతున్నారు.

ఆర్‌బీఐ గవర్నర్‌ సంజయ్‌ మల్హోత్రా ఆధ్వర్యంలోని ఆరుగురు సభ్యుల పరపతి విధాన కమిటీ రెపోరేటు (బ్యాంకులు ఆర్‌బీఐ వద్ద తీసుకునే రుణాలకు చెల్లించే వడ్డీ)ను 25 బేసిస్‌ పాయింట్లు తగ్గించి 5.25 శాతానికి చేర్చాలని ఏకగ్రీవంగా నిర్ణయించింది. 2024 డిసెంబరు 6న రెపో రేటు 6.50% కాగా.. ఏడాది తర్వాత ఇప్పుడు 5.25 శాతానికి దిగివచ్చింది. అంటే 2025లో రెపో రేటు 1.25% (ఫిబ్రవరిలో 0.25%, ఏప్రిల్‌లో 0.25%, జూన్‌లో 0.50%, డిసెంబరులో 0.25% చొప్పున) తగ్గింది. 2025-26కు జీడీపీ వృద్ధి అంచనాను 6.8% నుంచి 7.3 శాతానికి ఆర్‌బీఐ పెంచింది.
