భెల్‌ ఆదాయం రూ.27,350 కోట్లు

ప్రభుత్వ రంగ ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ సంస్థ భారత్‌ హెవీ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్‌ లిమిటెడ్‌ (భెల్‌) 2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో రూ.27,350 కోట్ల ఆదాయాన్ని ఆర్జించింది. అంత క్రితం ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం నమోదు చేసిన ఆదాయంతో పోలిస్తే ఇది 19 శాతం అధికం. గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం (2023-24)లో కంపెనీ గతంలో ఎన్నడూ లేని విధంగా అత్యధికంగా రూ.92,534 కోట్ల ఆర్డర్లను దక్కించుకుంది. దీంతో 2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం పూర్తయ్యేసరికి భెల్‌ మొత్తం ఆర్డర్‌ బుక్‌ రూ.1,95,922 కోట్లకు చేరింది.

అర్జున్‌కు రజతం

ఐఎస్‌ఎస్‌ఎఫ్‌ ప్రపంచకప్‌  షూటింగ్‌లో పారిస్‌ ఒలింపియన్‌ అర్జున్‌ బబుతా రజత పతకం సాధించాడు. 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 20న లిమా (పెరూ)లో జరిగిన పురుషుల 10 మీటర్ల ఎయిర్‌ రైఫిల్‌ ఫైనల్లో అతడు 252.3 పాయింట్లు స్కోరు చేశాడు. కేవలం 0.1 పాయింట్‌ తేడాతో బంగారు పతకానికి దూరమయ్యాడు.  ఒలింపిక్‌ ఛాంపియన్‌ షెంగ్‌ లిహావో (252.4- చైనా) స్వర్ణం గెలుచుకున్నాడు.

భారత్‌లో పురుషులు, మహిళలు-2024 నివేదిక

2021-22లో దేశంలోని అన్నిరకాల పోస్టు గ్రాడ్యుయేట్‌ (పీజీ) కోర్సుల్లో మొత్తం 51.19 లక్షలమంది చేరగా.. వారిలో 28.36 లక్షలమందికి పైగా అమ్మాయిలున్నారు. వీరికన్నా అబ్బాయిల సంఖ్య దాదాపు 6 లక్షలు తక్కువ. ఈ విషయాలు కేంద్ర గణాంకాలశాఖ విడుదల చేసిన ‘భారత్‌లో పురుషులు, మహిళలు-2024’ నివేదికలో ఉన్నాయి. 2021-22 సంవత్సరానికి సంబంధించి రూపొందించిన ఈ నివేదికలోని ప్రధానాంశాలు.. అబ్బాయిలు ఎక్కువగా డిగ్రీతోనే చదువు ఆపేస్తుండగా అమ్మాయిలు అంతకుమించి ముందుకెళుతున్నారు. అలాగే ఎంఫిల్‌ కోర్సుల్లో మొత్తం 9,517 మంది చేరితే వీరిలోనూ అమ్మాయిలే (6,125) అధికం. వైద్యకోర్సుల్లోనూ అబ్బాయిలకన్నా అమ్మాయిలు ఎక్కువగా ప్రవేశాలు పొందారు. 2021-22లో దేశంలో మొత్తం అల్లోపతి, హోమియో, ఆయుర్వేదం, నర్సింగ్‌ తదితర వైద్యశాస్త్రాల కోర్సుల్లో 17.05 లక్షల మంది చేరగా వీరిలో 9.83 లక్షల మందికిపైగా అమ్మాయిలే. వీరికన్నా అబ్బాయిలు 2.60 లక్షలు తక్కువ. అయితే గైనకాలజీ పీజీ కోర్సులో 404 మంది చేరితే వారిలో 220 మంది అబ్బాయిలే ఉండటం గమనార్హం.

యునెస్కో నివేదిక

ప్రపంచంలో 60 శాతం దేశాల్లో మాత్రమే పాఠశాలల్లో అందించే ఆహారం, పానీయాలను నియంత్రించే, పర్యవేక్షించే చట్టాలు ఉన్నాయని యునెస్కో నివేదిక వెల్లడించింది. గ్లోబల్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ మానిటరింగ్‌ రిపోర్ట్‌ పేరుతో విడుదల చేసిన ఈ నివేదిక రూపకల్పనలో లండన్‌ స్కూల్‌ ఆఫ్‌ హైజిన్‌ అండ్‌ ట్రాపికల్‌ మెడిసిన్‌ తదితర సంస్థలు పాలుపంచుకున్నాయి.  ఈ అధ్యయనం ప్రకారం.. 187 దేశాల్లో 93 దేశాల్లోనే పాఠశాలల్లో ఏ ఆహారాన్ని లేదా పానీయాన్ని అనుమతించాలనే నిబంధనలు ఉన్నాయి. ఈ 93 దేశాల్లో 29 శాతం దేశాలు మాత్రమే పాఠశాలల్లో ఆహార పదార్థాల మార్కెటింగ్‌ను నియంత్రిస్తున్నాయి. 30 అల్ప, మధ్యాదాయ దేశాల్లో పౌష్టికాహార విద్యను ప్రాజెక్టులు, ఇతర మార్గాల్లోనే బోధిస్తున్నారని.. ప్రధాన సబ్జెక్టుగా కరిక్యులంలో పెట్టడం లేదని అధ్యయనకర్తలు పేర్కొన్నారు.

♦ Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) registered a revenue of Rs.27,350 crore for FY 2024–25, marking a robust growth of around 19 percent over the previous year (2023-24). ♦ The company also secured its highest-ever order inflows during the year, amounting to Rs.92,534 crore. ♦ With this, BHEL's total order book at the end of FY 2024–25 stood at Rs.1,95,922 crore.

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)

♦ South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) became the first coal PSU to implement paste fill technology for underground coal mining. ♦ To implement this innovative underground mining technology, SECL has signed a Rs.7040 crore agreement with TMC Mineral Resources Private Limited. ♦ Under this agreement, large-scale coal production will be undertaken using paste fill technology in the Singhali underground coal mine located in SECL’s Korba area. Over a period of 25 years, the project is expected to produce approximately 8.4 million tonnes (84.5 lakh tonnes) of coal. ♦ What is Paste Fill Technology? ♦ Paste filling is a modern underground mining method that eliminates the need to acquire surface land. After coal extraction, the mined-out voids are filled with a specially prepared paste made from fly ash, crushed overburden from opencast mines, cement, water, and binding chemicals. This process prevents land subsidence and ensures the structural stability of the mine.

Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report by UNESCO

♦ According to the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report by UNESCO, only 60 percent of countries have legislations and standards governing food and beverages in schools. ♦ The report was published in partnership with the Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition led by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, which is the research initiative of the School Meals Coalition. Highlights: ♦ Only 93 out of 187 countries have legislation, compulsory standards or guidance on school food and beverages. ♦ However, only 29 percent of these 93 countries had measures restricting food and beverage marketing in schools and only 60 percent have standards governing food and beverages. ♦ only three of 28 countries were assessments regularly conducted and used. ♦ The assessment information included changes in attitudes and perceptions about food and nutrition, knowledge, food practice, nutritional status, habits and diets.
