రాష్ట్ర అర్థ, గణాంకశాఖ

2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో బియ్యం ఉత్పత్తితో తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం దేశంలోనే ముందుందని రాష్ట్ర అర్థ, గణాంకశాఖ తెలిపింది. బియ్యం ఒకటే కాకుండా పలు ఇతర పంటల దిగుబడి సైతం అంతకుముందుతో పోలిస్తే గణనీయంగా పెరిగినట్లు వివరించింది. తాజా నివేదికను కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలకు ఈ శాఖ అందజేసింది.  ముఖ్యాంశాలు: 2023-24లో 168.75 లక్షల టన్నుల బియ్యం ఉత్పత్తి చేసిన తెలంగాణ 2024-25 దాన్ని అధిగమించి ఏకంగా 183.57 లక్షల టన్నులు సాధించింది. తెలంగాణ తర్వాత వరుసగా ఉత్తర్‌ప్రదేశ్, పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్, పంజాబ్‌ ఉన్నాయి.  రాష్ట్రంలో సాధారణ సాగు విస్తీర్ణానికి మించి వరి వేయడంతో దిగుబడులు వెల్లువెత్తాయి. ఉదాహరణకు గత రబీ(యాసంగి) సీజన్‌లో సాధారణ సాగు విస్తీర్ణం 16 లక్షల హెక్టార్లు కాగా... 2024లో ఏకంగా 24.04 లక్షల హెక్టార్లలో సాగయింది. గతేడాది ఖరీఫ్‌(వానాకాలం), రబీ(యాసంగి)లో కలిపి మొత్తం 275 లక్షల టన్నులకు పైగా ధాన్యం దిగుబడి వచ్చింది. దీని నుంచి 183 లక్షల టన్నుల బియ్యం ఉత్పత్తయినట్లు నివేదిక తెలిపింది.

‘ఆపరేషన్‌ సఫేద్‌ సాగర్‌’

కార్గిల్‌లో పాకిస్థాన్‌ చొరబాటుదారులను తరిమికొట్టడానికి భారత్‌ చేపట్టిన ఆపరేషన్‌ సఫేద్‌ సాగర్‌ వార్షికోత్సవం సందర్భంగా 2025, మే 26న వైమానిక దళం ఓ వీడియోను విడుదల చేసింది. 26 ఏళ్ల క్రితం నిర్వహించిన ఈ ఆపరేషన్‌ను వాయుసేన చరిత్రలో గొప్ప మైలురాయిగా అభివర్ణించింది. భారత్‌-పాకిస్థాన్‌ మధ్య 1999 మే 3 నుంచి జులై 26 వరకు కార్గిల్‌ యుద్ధం జరిగింది. నాడు భారత సైన్యానికి మద్దతుగా 1999 మే 26న భారత వాయుసేన రంగంలోకి దిగింది. 47 రోజుల పాటు ‘ఆపరేషన్‌ సఫేద్‌ సాగర్‌’ను చేపట్టి కార్గిల్‌ నుంచి పాకిస్థాన్‌ సైనికులను, ఉగ్రవాదులను వాయుసేన తరిమి కొట్టింది.

జూనియర్‌ షూటింగ్‌ ప్రపంచకప్‌లో మహిళల 25మీ పిస్టల్‌ ఈవెంట్లో భారత షూటర్‌ తేజస్విని స్వర్ణం సాధించింది. 2025, మే 26న జూల్‌ (జర్మనీ)లో జరిగిన ఫైనల్లో తేజస్విని 31 స్కోర్‌ చేసి అగ్రస్థానంలో నిలవగా.. తటస్థ అథ్లెట్‌ అలీనా (29) రజతం గెలుచుకుంది. హంగేరికి చెందిన మరియం జాకో (23) కాంస్య పతకం సాధించింది.

Bharat Forecast System (BFS) on 26 May 2025

♦ Union Earth Sciences Minister Jitendra Singh launched the Bharat Forecast System (BFS) on 26 May 2025. ♦ This is the world’s highest-resolution numerical weather prediction model with a spatial resolution of 6 kilometers. ♦ The system has improved the prediction skill by up to 67 percent.  ♦ BFS has been developed indigenous to India by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune.  ♦ The BFS will be the only global numerical weather prediction system in the world deployed at such a high resolution, representing a major advancement in India's forecasting capabilities. ♦ The numerical global forecast models run by the European, British and US weather offices have a resolution between 9 km and 14 km.

India’s first Vistadome Jungle Safari Train

♦ The Uttar Pradesh government has launched India’s first Vistadome Jungle Safari Train to promote tourism. ♦ The train service connects the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary to the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.  ♦ The tourist train features specially designed coaches with large glass windows and transparent roofs. ♦ The initiative aims to offer travellers a thrilling wildlife experience while showcasing the natural beauty of the state. ♦ This initiative also provides a new dimension to nature-based tourism and is expected to generate local employment opportunities and boost the region's economy.

Operation Safed Sagar

♦ The Indian Air Force (IAF) commemorated the anniversary of “Operation Safed Sagar” on 26th May which was executed during the 1999 Kargil war between India and Pakistan. ♦ It was launched in support of ground forces under Operation Vijay. It aimed to flush out Pakistani regulars and intruders who had occupied Indian positions along the LoC in the Kargil sector.  ♦ It was the first major use of air power in the Kashmir region since the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

♦ Indian shooter Tejaswani claimed the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol event in the ISSF Junior World Cup 2025 in Suhl, Germany, on 26 May 2025.   ♦ She scored 31 in the final. Representing the Individual Neutral Athletes category, Belarus' Alina Nestsiarovich won silver with a total of 29, while Hungary's Miriam Jako settled for the bronze medal after shooting 23. ♦ Currently, India is leading the medal standings with 11 medals including three gold, four silver and four bronze in one of the world’s most prestigious tournament for junior shooters.
