పాలస్తీనాకు సంపూర్ణ దేశ ప్రతిపత్తి కల్పించాలంటూ ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి సర్వసభ్య సభ చేసిన తీర్మానానికి భారత్‌ 2025, సెప్టెంబరు 12న మద్దతు తెలిపింది. 193 సభ్యులు కలిగిన సర్వసభ్య సభలో భారత్‌తో సహా 142 దేశాలు ఈ తీర్మానానికి అనుకూలంగా ఓటేశాయి. 10 దేశాలు తీర్మానాన్ని వ్యతిరేకించాయి. పాలస్తీనాను ప్రత్యేక దేశంగా గుర్తించడంతోపాటు ఇజ్రాయెల్, పాలస్తీనాలు తమ మధ్య ఉన్న వివాదాన్ని శాంతియుతంగా పరిష్కరించుకోవాలన్న న్యూయార్క్‌ డిక్లరేషన్‌ను తీర్మానం సమర్థించింది.

నేపాల్‌ తాత్కాలిక ప్రధాని మంత్రిగా విశ్రాంత ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్‌ సుశీలా కార్కీ (73) నియమితులయ్యారు. ప్రధానిగా ఆమెను నియమిస్తున్నట్లు అధ్యక్షుడు రామచంద్ర పౌడెల్‌ 2025, సెప్టెంబరు 12న ప్రకటించారు. రాత్రి 9.30 గంటలకు ఆమె ప్రమాణం చేసి, బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టారు. మహిళలెవరూ ఇంతవరకు నేపాల్‌కు ప్రధానిగా లేరు. ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తిగా సేవలందించిన తొలి, ఏకైక మహిళగానూ జస్టిస్‌ సుశీల నిలిచారు.

భారత 15వ ఉపరాష్ట్రపతిగా చంద్రాపురం పొన్నుసామి రాధాకృష్ణన్‌ బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టారు. 2025, సెప్టెంబరు 12న రాష్ట్రపతి భవన్‌లోని గణతంత్ర మండపంలో రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపదీముర్ము ఆయన చేత ప్రమాణం చేయించారు. ఇప్పటివరకు ఉపరాష్ట్రపతులుగా బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించిన 15 మందిలో 11 మంది రాజకీయవేత్తలు. మిగతా నలుగురిలో సుప్రీంకోర్టు మాజీ ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తి, విద్యావేత్తలు, దౌత్యవేత్తలకు చోటుదక్కినట్లయింది. రాధాకృష్ణన్‌ పదవీకాలం 2030 సెప్టెంబరు 11 వరకు ఉంటుంది.
