ఎస్సీ వర్గీకరణకు ఏకసభ్య కమిషన్‌

తెలంగాణలో ఎస్సీ వర్గీకరణపై సమగ్ర అధ్యయనం చేసేందుకు హైకోర్టు విశ్రాంత న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్‌ డాక్టర్‌ షమీమ్‌ అక్తర్‌ నేతృత్వంలో ప్రభుత్వం 2024, అక్టోబరు 11న ఏకసభ్య కమిషన్‌ను నియమించింది. వర్గీకరణపై సమగ్ర అధ్యయనం చేసి, 60 రోజుల్లోగా నివేదిక సమర్పించాలని కమిషన్‌ను కోరింది.

నోయల్‌ టాటా

టాటా ట్రస్ట్స్‌ ఛైర్మన్‌గా నోయల్‌ టాటా (67) 2024, అక్టోబరు 11న నియమితులయ్యారు. ఈయన దిగ్గజ పారిశ్రామికవేత్త రతన్‌ టాటా సవతి సోదరుడు. టాటా ట్రస్ట్స్‌కు టాటా గ్రూప్‌ హోల్డింగ్‌ కంపెనీ టాటా సన్స్‌లో 66% వాటా ఉంది. టాటా ట్రస్ట్స్‌లోని అన్ని ట్రస్టులకు నోయల్‌ నాయకత్వం వహిస్తారు.  టాటా గ్రూప్‌లోని అన్ని వాణిజ్య సంస్థలను టాటా సన్స్‌ నిర్వహిస్తోంది. 100 దేశాల్లో వినియోగ వస్తువులు, హోటళ్లు, వాహనాలు, విమాన రంగాల్లో 30కి పైగా సంస్థలు టాటా సన్స్‌ ఆధ్వర్యంలోనే ఉన్నాయి. గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం (2023-24)లో ఈ సంస్థల మొత్తం టర్నోవర్‌ 165 బిలియన్‌ డాలర్లు (దాదాపు రూ.14 లక్షల కోట్లు).

లావోస్‌ రాజధాని వియంటియాన్‌లో జరిగిన 19వ తూర్పు ఆసియా సదస్సులో 2024, అక్టోబరు 11న ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రసంగించారు. ప్రపంచంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో జరుగుతున్న ఘర్షణలు దక్షిణాది దేశాలపై అత్యంత ప్రతికూల ప్రభావాన్ని చూపుతున్నాయని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. యురేసియా, పశ్చిమాసియాల్లో వీలైనంత త్వరగా శాంతి, సుస్థిరత నెలకొనాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.  థాయ్‌లాండ్‌ ప్రధానితో వాణిజ్యంపై చర్చలు రెండు దేశాల మధ్య వాణిజ్య సంబంధాలను మెరుగుపరిచేందుకు, సాంస్కృతిక సంబంధాలకు ఊతమిచ్చేందుకు చేపట్టాల్సిన చర్యలపై థాయ్‌లాండ్‌ ప్రధాని పేటోంగ్టార్న్‌ షినవత్రతో ప్రధాని మోదీ 2024, అక్టోబరు 11న లావోస్‌లో చర్చలు జరిపారు. షినవత్రతో మోదీ భేటీ కావడం ఇదే తొలిసారి.

నోబెల్‌ శాంతి బహుమతి 2024

జపాన్‌లోని హిరోషిమా, నాగసాకి నగరాల్లో జరిగిన పాశవిక అణుబాంబు దాడి నుంచి ప్రాణాలతో బయటపడిన వారితో ఏర్పాటైన ‘నిహాన్‌ హిడాంక్యో’ అనే సంఘానికి నోబెల్‌ శాంతి బహుమతి 2024 వరించింది. ఈ బాధితులు అకుంఠిత దీక్షతో శాంతి, అణ్వస్త్రరహిత ప్రపంచం కోసం గళమెత్తారని అవార్డు కమిటీ పేర్కొంది.  1945 ఆగస్టు 6న హిరోషిమాపై అమెరికా అణు బాంబు ప్రయోగించింది. ఫలితంగా 1.4 లక్షల మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. అదే నెల 9న నాగసాకిపై మరో బాంబును అమెరికా వేసింది. ఇందులో 70 వేల మంది బలయ్యారు. నాటి విధ్వంసంలో ప్రాణాలు దక్కించుకున్నవారిని ‘హిబాకుషా’గా అభివర్ణిస్తుంటారు. వీరు, పసిఫిక్‌ అణ్వస్త్ర పరీక్షల బాధితులు కలిసి 1956లో నిహాన్‌ హిడాంక్యోను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.
