జమ్మూ కశ్మీర్‌

జమ్మూ కశ్మీర్‌ సాంస్కృతిక వారసత్వానికి చిహ్నమైన చినార్‌ చెట్లను రక్షించడానికి అక్కడి ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలకు ఉపక్రమించింది. చెట్ల పరిస్థితిపై డేటాబేస్‌ను సమీకరించడానికి డిజిటల్‌ ట్రీ ఆధార్‌ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా ప్రతి చెట్టును జియో ట్యాగింగ్‌ చేసి, క్యూఆర్‌ కోడ్‌ను కేటాయిస్తారు.  ప్రస్తుతం పట్టణీకరణ, అడవుల ఆక్రమణల వల్ల చినార్‌ వృక్షాల ఉనికి ప్రశ్నార్థకంగా మారింది. దీంతో వాటిని రక్షించడానికి జమ్మూ కశ్మీర్‌ అటవీ శాఖ చెందిన ఫారెస్ట్‌ రీసెర్చ్‌ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్‌ సంస్థ ట్రీ ఆధార్‌తో ముందుకొచ్చింది.

యాంటిక్విటీ ఆఫ్‌ ఐరన్‌

తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్ర పురావస్తు శాఖ ప్రచురించిన ‘యాంటిక్విటీ ఆఫ్‌ ఐరన్‌’ పుస్తకాన్ని 2025, జనవరి 23న ఆ రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్టాలిన్‌ విడుదల చేశారు. ఇనుప యుగం తొలుత తమిళనేలపైనే ప్రారంభమైందని, 5,300 ఏళ్ల క్రితమే ఇక్కడ ఆ లోహాన్ని ఉపయోగించినట్ల్లు శాస్త్రీయంగా నిరూపితమైందని ఆయన తెలిపారు. దీన్నిబట్టి క్రీ.పూ. 4,000 నాటికి ఈ ప్రాంతంలో ఇనుప యుగం ఉందని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
