కేంద్ర గణాంకాల శాఖ తాజాగా విడుదల చేసిన ‘ఉమెన్‌ అండ్‌ మెన్‌ ఇన్‌ ఇండియా 2024’ నివేదిక ప్రకారం, జనాభా పెరుగుదల వార్షిక సగటు వృద్ధిరేటు కొన్నేళ్లుగా తగ్గుతుంది. వృద్ధుల సంఖ్య పెరిగిపోతోంది. 1971లో గరిష్ఠంగా 2.2%గా నమోదైన జనాభా పెరుగుదల వార్షిక సగటు వృద్ధిరేటు, 2036 నాటికల్లా 0.58%కు పడిపోనుందని పేర్కొంది. దీనివల్ల దేశంలో వయోవృద్ధుల (60 ఏళ్లు పైబడినవారు) జనాభా బాగా పెరగనుంది. ఫలితంగా- ‘ఆధారపడేవారి నిష్పత్తి’ మారనుంది. ఇప్పటివరకూ పెద్దలపై యువకులు ఆధారపడుతుండగా, ఇకమీదట పిన్నలపై పెద్దలు ఆధారపడే పరిస్థితులు పెరుగుతాయి. చారిత్రకంగా చూస్తే దేశ జనాభా పిరమిడ్‌ కింది భాగంలో విస్తృతంగా ఉండేది. అంటే పిల్లలు/యువత జనాభా ఎక్కువుండేది. కానీ 2026, 2036 జనాభా అంచనాల ప్రకారం పిరమిడ్‌ అడుగు భాగం కుంచించుకుపోనుంది. వర్కింగ్‌ ఏజ్‌ గ్రూప్‌ జనాభా పెరగనుంది.
2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరానికి రాష్ట్రాల వృద్ధి రేటును నిర్ధారిస్తూ కేంద్ర గణాంకాలు, కార్యక్రమాల అమలు మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ (ఎంవోఎస్‌పీఐ) ఇటీవల నివేదిక విడుదల చేసింది. 18 రాష్ట్రాలు/కేంద్ర పాలిత ప్రాంతాల జీఎస్‌డీపీ, పీసీఐ సమాచారం ఇందులో ఉంది. ఆ వివరాల మేరకు, ఏపీ 8.21 శాతం వృద్ధి రేటును సాధించి.. దేశంలో రెండో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. 9.69 శాతం వృద్ధి రేటుతో తమిళనాడు మొదటి ర్యాంకులో ఉంది. స్థిరమైన ధరల వద్ద (2011-12 ధరల ఆధారంగా) ఏపీ స్థూల రాష్ట్ర ఉత్పత్తి (జీఎస్‌డీపీ) రూ.8,65,013 కోట్లకు చేరింది. 2023-24లో జీఎస్‌డీపీ రూ.7,99,400 కోట్లుగా (రాష్ట్ర వృద్ధి రేటు 6.19 శాతం) ఉంది. ఏపీ ప్రస్తుత ధరల వద్ద గత ఏడాది కంటే 12.02 శాతం వృద్ధి రేటుతో 5వ స్థానంలో ఏపీ నిలిచింది. తమిళనాడు 14.02, ఉత్తరాఖండ్‌ 13.59 , కర్ణాటక 12.77 , అస్సాం 12.74 శాతాలతో తొలి నాలుగు స్థానాల్లో నిలిచాయి. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ తర్వాత రాజస్థాన్‌ 12.02, హరియాణా 11.83 , మహారాష్ట్ర 11.73, మేఘాలయ 11.63, జమ్మూ కశ్మీర్‌ 11.19 శాతాల వృద్ధి రేటుతో మొదటి పది స్థానాల్లో నిలిచాయి. తెలంగాణ (10.12 శాతం) 14వ స్థానంలో ఉంది. ప్రస్తుత ధరల వద్ద ఏపీ జీఎస్‌డీపీ రూ.15,93,062 కోట్లకు చేరింది.
