♦ The Indian Army declared 2026 as the 'Year of Networking & Data Centricity' and said this initiative will enhance connectivity, real-time decision-making and combat effectiveness, thereby strengthening resilience and agility for a future-ready force.  This announcement was made in January 2026 under the leadership of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, as part of the Army’s long-term vision for building a future-ready, technology-driven force.

♦ The ‘Year of Networking & Data Centricity – 2026’ is a strategic initiative aimed at treating data as a critical operational asset. The Indian Army plans to leverage advanced networking systems to ensure seamless connectivity across all levels of command and operations.
