♦ The Indian Air Force conducted the Exercise ‘Vayu Shakti’ at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in western Rajasthan on 27 February 2026. It showcased the operational preparedness, tactical capabilities, and combat efficiency of the IAF.

♦ The demonstration presented simulated missions reflecting operations undertaken during Operation Sindoor. It began with a detailed briefing, followed by precision strikes on targets spread across a three-kilometre area. Simulated enemy assets included a runway, radar sites, bunkers, tanks and armoured convoys, ammunition depots, a communication centre and terror camps.

♦ The exercise also provided glimpses of how the IAF plays a crucial role in humanitarian assistance and disaster management, offering rapid airlift and rescue and evacuation from conflict zones within the country as well as abroad.
