♦ The Rajasthan government has appointed V Srinivas, a 1989-batch IAS officer, as the new Chief Secretary. He has returned from a seven-year central deputation.  He was serving as the Secretary , Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare, in the Union government.

♦ He will continue as Chief Secretary until September 2026, when he is scheduled to retire.
