The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination, 2025.

Indian Economic Service (IES): 12 Posts

Indian Statistical Service (ISS): 35 Posts

Eligibility: 

For IES, candidates must have a Postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university.

For ISS, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, OR a Master's degree in any of these disciplines from a recognized university.

Age Range:

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Salary Range:

Selected candidates will be appointed to the Junior Time Scale (JTS) of the respective services, with salaries as per Level-10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) along with allowances.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates must apply through online. First-time applicants must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) before proceeding with the application form.

Application Fees: Rs.200 for General/OBC/EWS (Exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Female candidates).

Examination Centres: The exam will be conducted at various centers across India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and others.
