The International Labour Organisation (ILO)

♦ The Government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to collaborate on developing the International Reference Classification of Occupations on 16 September 2025.

♦ The MoU aimed at enhancing global skill comparability and expanding employment opportunities for Indian youth.

♦ The MoU was signed in Geneva by Ambassador Arindam Bagchi, Permanent Mission of India to the UN, and ILO Director-General Gilbert F. Houngbo, in the presence of Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who joined the event virtually.
