♦ Telecommunications Engineering Centre under the Department of Telecommunications signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi on 19 November 2025 for joint studies and technical contributions in telecom technologies and global standardisation activities. 

♦ The collaboration focuses on key domains, including AI in telecom, 5G and 6G, Renewable Energy Technologies, Software Defined Network and Network Function Virtualization. 

♦ This agreement aims to strengthen indigenous research, design and manufacturing in telecom, developing India-specific standards, test frameworks and home-grown solutions that bolster national self-reliance.
