♦ Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran was appointed Chairman of Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF) on 26 February 2025.

♦ This is a Section 8 entity set up by the late Ratan Tata to which he bequeathed much of his wealth for charitable and philanthropic purposes.

♦ The Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation was founded as a Section 8 company.

♦ The Foundation will work in the area of philanthropy and promote research and development in the tech sector to help and positively impact Indian society.

♦ Ratan Tata had appointed Burjis Taraporewala and R.R. Shastri as holding trustees of the Foundation, while Jamsheed Poncha was made the CEO.
