♦ Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella introduced MahaCrimeOS, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to accelerate police investigations in cybercrime for the Maharashtra Police. The tool was developed in collaboration with the Maharashtra Government’s special purpose vehicle MARVEL (Maharashtra Research and Vigilance for Enhanced Law Enforcement).

♦ The AI tool will increase the efficiency of policing and reduce the turnaround time of investigation by 80%. The AI system has been operational in Nagpur Rural since April, 2025 and is set to be deployed in all 1,100 police stations across Maharashtra.
