♦ E-commerce major Amazon appointed Samir Kumar as the country manager for India on 18 September 2024. He replaced Manish Tiwary. Kumar will take India's responsibility in addition to his current charter of leading Amazon’s consumer businesses in the Middle East, South Africa, and Turkey.

♦ Kumar joined Amazon in 1999. He was a part of the original team that planned and launched Amazon.in in 2013.
