♦ Saleem Ahmad assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). He succeeded Sukhmal Chand Jain. Before this posting, Saleem Ahmad was working as director (projects) at NBCC (India).

♦ Before joining NBCC, he served as Executive Director (Civil) at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd and also worked with Mumbai Port Trust.

♦ Rail Vikas Nigam Limited is a central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. It is responsible for implementing critical railway projects such as new lines, doubling of tracks, electrification, and capacity enhancement works to improve rail connectivity across India.
