♦ A total of 7075.78 Megawatts of rooftop solar capacity has been installed in the country under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana scheme in the residential sector. Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Yesso Naik said this in Rajya Sabha on 9 December 2025. The scheme aims to achieve rooftop solar installations in one crore households in the residential sector by financial year of 2026-27 with an outlay of 75,021 crore rupees. 

♦ Under the scheme Gujarat is number one state in the roof top installation with a total capacity of 1,828.05 MW.
