♦ The Indian Armed Forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, a series of precision strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) on 7 May 2025.

♦ The operation comes in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, triggering widespread outrage and demands for decisive action.

♦ The strikes targeted a total of nine locations believed to house active terrorist infrastructure involved in planning and executing attacks against India.
