♦ National Safety Day in India is observed every year on March 4 to generate awareness and commitment to working safely. On March 4, 1966, the National Safety Council was established with the goal of creating, growing, and maintaining a voluntary movement related to safety, health, and the environment (SHE).
♦ On the day of its founding, seven years later, in 1972, National Safety Day was first observed. The purpose of the day is to increase public knowledge of all safety regulations, including those pertaining to the environment, workplaces, health, and roadways.
