♦ National Milk Day is observed annually in India on November 26 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the architect of the ‘White Revolution’.

♦ He is known as the ‘Father of the White Revolution in India.’ The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the Indian Dairy Association (IDA), and 22 state-level milk federations decided to celebrate Dr Verghese Kurien’s birth anniversary as National Milk Day on November 26, 2014.
