♦ The Mahaparinirvan Diwas is observed every year on December 6 to commemorate the death anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, who is known as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.

♦ He was passed away in 1956. 2024 marks the 69th death anniversary of Ambedkar. 

♦ He was born on 14 April 1891, at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh. 

♦ Ambedkar was the first law minister of independent India. He received the highest civilian honour in India, the Bharat Ratna, in 1990 posthumously.
