♦ K. Vijayanand was appointed as Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 29 December 2024.

♦ He is a 1992 batch IAS officer, who is at present Special Chief Secretary, Energy Department.

♦ He succeeded Neerabh Kumar Prasad. Vijayanand will be in office till November, 2025. 

♦ Vijayanand was Chairman and Managing Director of APTRANSCO since 2023, and Chairman of APGENCO since 2022.
