♦ The oldest man in the world - John Alfred Tinniswood was died at the age of 112 in Southport, England on 25 November 2024.

♦ He was born on 21 August, 1912, the year of the sinking of the Titanic.  

♦ He was named the world’s oldest man by Guinness World Records in April 2024, following the death of Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who passed at 114.

♦ During World War II, Mr Tinniswood served in the Royal Army Pay Corps, showcasing his dedication to his country.
