♦ The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) gave an additional charge to senior IPS officer Vitul Kumar as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General on 30 December 2024. Vitul Kumar is a 1993-batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is currently posted as the special Director General of CRPF (HT). 

♦ Following the retirement of the incumbent DG, Anish Dayal Singh, Kumar has been assigned officiating charge for the post of DG of CRPF.
