♦ Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh launched the Kapas Kisan app on 2 September 2025, to facilitate seamless procurement of cotton from farmers under the Minimum Support Price scheme.

♦ The App will empower farmers with self-registration, slot booking and payment tracking to bring greater transparency and speed to the cotton procurement process.
