♦ HSBC Holdings has appointed Georges Elhedery as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Currently, he is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the group. Georges joined HSBC in 2005. He has held the role of CFO since January 2023.

♦ He also led HSBC’s Middle Eastern, North Africa and Turkey division as the CEO between July 2016 and February 2019.
