♦ Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) Vadodara has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy to enhance logistics-related education, research, and training in New Delhi on 16 December 2024.

♦ The MoU was signed by the Controller of Logistics in the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Deepak Kapoor, and Vice-Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Professor Manoj Choudhary. 

♦ This collaboration will strengthen the Indian Navy’s logistical framework by focusing on supply chain management, multimodal transportation, and sustainability in logistics. 

♦ Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, formerly the National Rail and Transportation Institute, is a central university located in Vadodara.

♦ It is India’s first transport university. It is situated on the campus of the National Academy of Indian Railways.
