The Indian Army has issued a notification for the recruitment of Agniveer posts for the recruitment year 2027 under the Agnipath scheme. The recruiting offices (headquarters) Guntur, Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam have issued a notification for the selection of Agniveer posts. Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for these posts.

Details:

Qualifications:

Age: Should be between 17 1/2 years½ to 22 years. (Must be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 July 2009).

Departments & Educational Qualifications:

Agniveer (General Duty): Must have passed 10th class with at least 45% marks.

Agniveer (Technical): Must have secured at least 50% marks in Intermediate (Science) with Physics, Maths, English or have relevant Technical Diploma.

Agniveer (Clerk/Storekeeper Technical): Must have passed Intermediate in any discipline with 60% marks.

Agniveer (Tradesman): Those who have passed 8th or 10th class are eligible.

Physical Standards: Candidates should have a minimum height of 162 cm to 170 cm. Weight for height (as per BMI) & should have 5 cm chest expansion.

Selection Process:

The Agniveer selection process will be conducted in two phases.

Phase-I - Online Examination:

A computer-based 'Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)' will be conducted at designated centers.

It is an objective test with multiple choice questions.

This examination will be available in 13 languages ​​besides Telugu.

There will also be a typing test for those applying for the posts of Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper.
Phase-II - Recruitment Rally:

Candidates who have secured merit in the online examination will be selected for the next phase.

This will include a Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, pull-ups, etc.), Physical Measurement Test & Medical Examination.

Salary Allowances & Other Benefits:

The selected candidates will be provided with an annual package that will increase every year for a period of 4 years.
Monthly package (approximate):

First year: Rs.30,000 per month (Rs.21,000 will be received in hand. Rs.9,000 will be credited to the fund).

Second year: Rs.33,000 per month (Rs.23,100 will be received in hand. Rs.9,900 will be credited to the fund).

Third year: Rs.36,500 per month (Rs.25,550 will be received in hand. Rs.10,950 will be credited to the fund).

Fourth year: Rs.40,000 per month (Rs.28,000 will be received in hand. Rs.12,000 will be credited to the fund).

Seva Nidhi Package: After completing 4 years of service, the government will provide an amount equal to the amount deposited by the candidate, including interest, in the form of 'Seva Nidhi', which is approximately Rs.10.04 lakhs.

Allowances: Risk and Hardship, Ration, Dress & Travel Allowances are applicable along with the package.

Insurance: Candidates will be provided with a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs during the period of service.

Other Benefits: 30 days annual leave, sick leave (as per medical advice), & CSD canteen facilities will be provided.

Important Dates:

Online Registration: 13 February 2026 to 01 April 2026.

Online Examination Dates: 01 June to 15 June 2026. (Provisional).
