♦ Veteran film star Dharmendra passed away in Mumbai at the age of 89 on 24 November 2025. Known affectionately as the 'He-Man of Bollywood', he acted morethan 300 films in his career. 

♦ Born Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol on December 8, 1935, in Nasrali, Punjab, he ventured into cinema in 1960 with the film 'Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.' 

♦ He was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, in 2012.
