The High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati, has issued Notification No. 02/2026/Estt. dated 20.03.2026. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Court Master and Personal Secretary to the Hon'ble Judges.

Court Master, Personal Secretary: Total Posts: 32.

(Direct Recruitment: 20 posts; Via Transfer: 12 posts)

Eligibility: Candidates must hold a Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Law from a recognized university in India. Technical requirements include passing the English Shorthand examination at a speed of 180 w.p.m.. Candidates with 150 w.p.m. speed may be considered if 180 w.p.m. candidates are unavailable. Additionally, a pass in English Typewriting (Higher Grade) with 45 w.p.m. is required. Preference is given to those with computer skills.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as of 01-01-2026. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates, 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.

Salary: Rs. 57,100 to Rs. 1,47,760 per month.

Selection Process: Selection is based on a written examination designed to test shorthand capability.

Shorthand Test: 180 w.p.m. (3 minutes) and 150 w.p.m. (4 minutes) .

Transcription: Conducted on computers with 40 and 45 minutes allotted respectively. Total Marks: 100 marks.

Application Fee: Rs.600 for OC/EWS/BC candidates; Rs.400 for SC/ST and candidates with disabilities.
