♦ IAS officer Burra Venkatesham was appointed new Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) chairman on 30 November 2024.

♦ The incumbent M. Mahender Reddy is set to retire on December 3, 2024 as he will complete 62 years. Reddy took charge of the post in January 2024 after an overhaul of the commission. 

♦ Currently, Venkatesham is the Principal Secretary of Education. He also holds the Full Additional Charge as the Principal Secretary to Governor Jishnu Dev Verma.
