♦ Retired IPS officer AR Anuradha was appointed the new chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on 23 October 2024.

♦ She is a 1987 batch IPS officer. Anuradha succeeded D. Goutam Sawang. 

♦ Anuradha was the first woman to head the Andhra Pradesh intelligence department when the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was in power earlier.

♦ She also served in prominent positions in the DG vigilance and enforcement department, as well as SP and IG in several districts of united Andhra Pradesh.
