Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of School Education invites online applications for DEECET-2025 for admission into two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) offered in Government District institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and also in Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions for the academic year 2025-26. Details: Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (DEECET-2025) Course: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) Category seats: Mathematics- 25%, Physical Science- 25%, Biological Science- 25%, Social Studies- 25% of seats. Eligibility: 50% of marks in Intermediate Examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent. Age limit: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1 September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit for admission. Application fee: Rs.750. Payment of Fees through Payment gateway: 22.04.2024 to 07.05.2025. డాకింగ్‌ ప్రక్రియ విజయవంతం

రోదసిలో రెండు వ్యోమనౌకలను అనుసంధానం (డాకింగ్‌) చేసే సాంకేతికతపై భారత అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధన సంస్థ (ఇస్రో) రెండోసారి విజయవంతంగా నిర్వహించింది. సంస్థ ప్రయోగించిన స్పేడెక్స్‌ ఉపగ్రహాలను అనుసంధానం చేసినట్లు కేంద్ర శాస్త్ర, సాంకేతిక వ్యవహారాల శాఖ మంత్రి జితేంద్ర సింగ్‌ 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 21న తెలిపారు.  స్పేడెక్స్‌ ప్రాజెక్టు కింద ఛేజర్‌ (ఎస్‌డీఎక్స్‌01), టార్గెట్‌ (ఎస్‌డీఎక్స్‌02) అనే రెండు ఉపగ్రహాలను 2024, డిసెంబరు 30న ఇస్రో నింగిలోకి పంపింది. ఇవి 2025, జనవరి 16న తొలిసారి కక్ష్యలో పరస్పరం అనుసంధానమయ్యాయి. మార్చి 13న తిరిగి వేరయ్యాయి. మ ళ్లీ ఏప్రిల్‌ 20న వాటిని ఒక్కటి చేశారు. ఈ రెండు ఉపగ్రహాల మధ్య దూరం 15 మీటర్లుగా ఉన్నప్పటి నుంచి పూర్తి స్వయంప్రతిపత్తితో ఈ ప్రక్రియ సాగిందని ఇస్రో వర్గాలు వివరించాయి.

‘ప్రధానమంత్రి ప్రజాస్వామ్య పరిపాలన’ అవార్డు

ఆదిలాబాద్‌ జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌ రాజర్షిషా దిల్లీలోని విజ్ఞాన్‌భవన్‌లో ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ చేతుల మీదుగా ‘ప్రధానమంత్రి ప్రజాస్వామ్య పరిపాలన’ ఉత్తమ పురస్కారాన్ని అందుకున్నారు. ఈ అవార్డుకు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 5 బ్లాక్‌లు ఎంపిక కాగా వాటిలో  ఆదిలాబాద్‌ జిల్లా నార్నూర్‌ మండలం ఉత్తమ ఆకాంక్షిత మండలంగా నిలిచింది. ఆస్పిరేషనల్‌ బ్లాక్‌ ప్రోగ్రాంను సమర్థంగా అమలు చేసి మండల సర్వతోముఖాభివృద్ధికి కృషి చేసినందుకు రాజర్షిషాకు 17వ సివిల్‌ సర్వీసెస్‌ డే సందర్భంగా ఏప్రిల్‌ 21న ఈ పురస్కారాన్ని ప్రదానం చేశారు.

ప్రధానమంత్రి అవార్డు

దేశంలో ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకమైన ప్రధానమంత్రి అవార్డును 2023-24 ఏడాదికి గాను ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ సాంఘిక సంక్షేమ గురుకులాల కార్యదర్శి ప్రసన్న వెంకటేశ్‌ అందుకున్నారు. 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 21న ‘సివిల్‌ సర్వీస్‌ డే’ సందర్భంగా దిల్లీలోని విజ్ఞాన్‌ భవన్‌లో నిర్వహించిన వికసిత్‌ భారత్‌ కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రధాని మోదీ చేతుల మీదుగా ఆయన ఈ అవార్డును తీసుకున్నారు. పరిపాలనలో ఉత్తమ పనితీరు కనబరిచిన దేశంలోని 10 జిల్లాల కలెక్టర్లకు ఈ అవార్డును కేంద్రం అందిస్తుంది.  ప్రసన్న వెంకటేశ్‌ 2022 జనవరి నుంచి 2024 జులై వరకు ఏలూరు జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌గా పనిచేశారు. ఆ సమయంలో ప్రభుత్వ పథకాలను ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లడం, మహిళలు, బాలికల్లో రక్తహీనత నివారణకు కృషి చేయడంతో పాటు గర్భిణులు, బాలింతల ఆరోగ్య సంరక్షణకు ఆయన పాటుపడ్డారు. అందుకు తాజాగా ఈ అవార్డు వచ్చింది.

పోప్‌ ఫ్రాన్సిస్‌ మరణం

క్యాథలిక్కుల అత్యున్నత గురువు పోప్‌ ఫ్రాన్సిస్‌ (88) 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 21న కన్నుమూశారు. వాటికన్‌ చరిత్రలో తొలి లాటిన్‌ అమెరికన్‌ పోప్‌గా చరిత్ర సృష్టించిన ఫ్రాన్సిస్‌ అర్జెంటీనాకు చెందినవారు. జీసస్‌ సొసైటీ నుంచి క్యాథలిక్‌ చర్చికి నేతృత్వం వహించిన తొలి వ్యక్తీ ఆయనే. పోప్‌ అసలు పేరు జోర్జ్‌ మారియో బెర్గోగ్లియో. ఇటలీ సంతతికి చెందిన ఆయన 1936 డిసెంబరు 17వ తేదీన అర్జెంటీనాలోని బ్యూనస్‌ ఎయిర్స్‌లో ఉన్న ఫ్లోర్స్‌లో జన్మించారు. 2013 ఫిబ్రవరి 28న పోప్‌ బెనెడిక్ట్‌-16 రాజీనామా చేశాక అదే ఏడాది మార్చి 13వ తేదీన బెర్గోగ్లియోను 266వ పోప్‌గా ఎన్నుకున్నారు. అప్పటి నుంచి ఆయన తన పేరును పోప్‌ ఫ్రాన్సిస్‌గా మార్చుకున్నారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన వయసు 76 ఏళ్లు.

‘డెజర్ట్‌ ఫ్లాగ్‌-10’

యునైటెడ్‌ అరబ్‌ ఎమిరేట్స్‌ (యూఏఈ)లో 2025, ఏప్రిల్‌ 21న ‘డెజర్ట్‌ ఫ్లాగ్‌-10’ వైమానిక విన్యాసాలు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. వీటిలో మన దేశం నుంచి మిగ్‌-29, జాగ్వార్‌ యుద్ధ విమానాలు పాల్గొన్నాయి. భారత్‌తో పాటు అమెరికా, బ్రిటన్, ఆస్ట్రేలియా, బహ్రెయిన్, ఫ్రాన్స్, జర్మనీ, ఖతార్, సౌదీ అరేబియా, ద.కొరియా, టర్కీ దేశాలు ఈ విన్యాసాల్లో పాల్గొన్నాయి. మే 8 వరకు ఇవి జరగనున్నాయి.

Ajay Bhushan Pandey

♦ Former Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey was appointed as Vice President of Investment Solutions for the Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in which India is the second largest shareholder after China. ♦ He will handle investment solutions and oversee three departments: the Sectors, Themes, and Finance Solutions Department; the Sustainability and Fiduciary Solutions Department; and the Portfolio Management Department. ♦ Pandey had headed the National Financial Reporting Authority for three years through March 2025 after his retirement as the finance secretary. ♦ A 1984-batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, he had also served as the chief executive officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India where he led the development and implementation of Aadhaar. ♦ Jin Liqun of China is the AIIB's president and chair of the board of directors.

Mangi Lal Jat

♦ Mangi Lal Jat took charge as Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on 21 April 2025. ♦ His term will be for three years. Jat replaced Himanshu Pathak, who has taken voluntary retirement.  ♦ Prior to this, Jat was serving as Deputy Director General (Research) and Director of the Global Research Program at International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad.
