♦ 11 January 2024, marks the 58th death anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was the second Prime Minister of India. The first PM of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, died in office on May 27, 1964; after that, Lal Bahadur Shastri became the prime minister. His tenure as Prime Minister was for 19 months. He died in Tashkent on January 11, 1966. Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 2 October 1904. His iconic slogan is "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan".
