♦ Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw launched Qualcomm  2-nanometre (2 nm) semiconductor chip in Bengaluru on 7 February 2026. This marked a significant moment in advanced semiconductor design and India’s Key Role in Global Engineering Operations.  

♦ Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that gone are the times when back-office development work was being carried out in the country. He stated that the entire process is now being conducted in India, ranging from customer product definition to final silicon design, tapeout, and validation
