Visakhapatnam chess player Sahithi Varshini has earned her third and final WGM norm, completing the requirements for the Woman Grandmaster title. She achieved this at the IM VII Round Robin tournament in Serbia. She finished second in the tournament with 6/9 points. She recorded a performance rating of 2408 and gained 23 rating points. With this norm, she has fulfilled all the requirements and is now officially a Woman Grandmaster.

• Varshini scored her first two WGM norms in Hungary. Her first norm came at the Golden Horse IM Round Robin tournament in September 2025 and the second norm at the Kanizsa Open 2026 in August 2026.
