♦ President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in New Delhi on 24 September 2024. The four-day conference will have a series of discussions on the evolving role of Supreme Audit Institutions in fostering transparency and accountability. More than 200 delegates representing 42 countries and international organizations are participating in this assembly.

♦ 2024 assembly is the assumption of the chair of ASOSAI by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu for the term 2024-2027.
